Steven Baerga is a New York City born and bred filmmaker and photographer. Steven has worked with Scheimpflug Rentals since 2017; rising through the ranks as a driver, lighting and grip equipment technician, to a lighting and logistics supervisor within the last 5 years of his employment. During this time, Steven acquired a BFA in Film and Video Production with a focus in Fiction from the City College of New York (CCNY class of 2020). Steven went on to make lifelong friendships with other filmmakers of his generation, many of whom are now graduates from School of Visual Arts, NYU Tisch, or Columbia University. These friendships were built on the blood sweat and tears poured into making each other's thesis films and school projects a successful reality. Much of Steven's expertise is based off of the on-set experience he gained from freelancing as a cinematographer for independent films or for various fashion and commercial giants such as: Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Seventeen, Esquire, Peloton, and Vimeo. Steven's most exciting recent work includes a short film by fellow CCNY graduate and filmmaker, Aldo Vassallo. Working ever so carefully on every shot of "The Game" and following up in post-production as an editor and colorist, Steven knows what it means to take on a project and see it through to fruition.
